The photographic series dedicated to the new headquarters of Reederei Reeder unfolds like a visual poem about transformation. Initially damaged by time, the spaces — with their peeling walls, broken floors and piles of materials that look like fragments of a crumbling past — become fertile ground for a slow, almost palpable metamorphosis. Rather than appearing as a place of noise and frenzy, the construction site is presented as a suspended landscape where every object, every trace and every ray of light seems to be waiting for its moment to be revealed. Above all, light runs through the images like a narrative thread: it enters through irregular openings, caresses rough surfaces and creates temporary geometries. It is a presence that not only illuminates, but also interprets. It anticipates what the space will become, suggesting a new identity still in formation. In this dialogue between matter and possibility, the construction site becomes a poetic place — a laboratory where architecture is rewritten through minimal gestures and profound transformations.

Rather than telling a 'before and after' story, the photographs capture the fragile and precious 'during': the moment when everything is still uncertain, vulnerable and open. As Rilke wrote, 'The only homeland is change'. In these images, change is not only documented, it is welcomed, embraced and celebrated.
