Not Cyclical, Not Linear is a site-specific photographic installation created during the Arte & Vino event at the Il Cerchio organic winery in Capalbio. The installation brings together the cyclical nature of the seasons and the linearity of human experience, revealing their fragile and transient nature. A suspended, silent winter landscape is grafted onto a living, changing environment. Rather than remaining a memory of another time, the image is slowly reabsorbed by the present; vegetation surrounds, invades and modifies it. Time does not return as it was, but becomes layered.

Natural cyclicality is manifested as continuous variation, while human linearity appears unstable and crossed with deviations and discontinuities. In this space of friction, the work suggests that every season — both of nature and of humanity — exists only in a state of change.

The title 'Not Cyclical Not Linear' indicates a suspended condition: a time that does not progress in closed or linear forms, but as an open, ephemeral process that is constantly transforming.
