Dimitri Angelini returns to the timeless language of 35 mm black-and-white reportage, punctuated by subtle contemporary gestures: an aerial view of sheep being sheared, or the final frame divided by a pole topped with a torch. In the storied landscapes of Tuscia, he captures the quiet rhythms of pastoral life where tuff hills and rolling fields cradle centuries of tradition. Against the backdrop of flocks in motion, he captures intimate portraits of shepherds from far-flung places, intertwining a narrative of human presence and movement. This work is a meditation on the concept of the 'decisive moment', exploring the harmony between humans, animals and nature — a fragile yet enduring balance that connects us to the history of sheep farming and the broader narrative of human migration, and the eternal rhythm of life on the move.
