This series of portraits, created for PhC-OFF 2021, occupies the liminal space between presence and memory. The subjects faces manifest as traces, surfaces traversed by the passage of time, where the gaze becomes a site of encounter and suspension. The images do not seek to define, but rather to listen; they welcome individuality as a fragment of a larger story, made up of belonging, minimal gestures and evolving identities. Photography becomes an act of proximity, thereby restoring an intimate and shared human geography, in which the portrait is never merely representation, but relationship.
