The aim of the project is to establish a correlation between Lavoisier and the Western alchemical theory of the Elements (fire, air, water and earth), in accordance with the fundamental principle of transformation, as articulated in the phrase "Nothing is created, nothing is destroyed, everything is transformed." Conjoining these theories gives rise to a concept that encompasses all their principles. This concept is humanity. In light of this, the project aims to explore the theme of the prize from multiple perspectives, including energy, dynamics, spirituality and humanity. The five proposed images represent dynamic and energetic aspects that interact with each other to create a fundamental piece that serves as the project's leitmotif. Fire can represent the power of the atom, while air can symbolise the dynamic force that fostered the first explorations of the world. Water represents constant energy and the main source of life, and earth represents the structural element that creates relational dynamics, which characterise the past, present and future of humanity. The concept of connection can be seen as not only the energy, but also the evolutionary force of humanity.
